After a detailed briefing by an expert instructor, you’ll head straight into the cockpit. Displays, controls, sounds, and movements all recreate the flight experience with remarkable realism. Together with two other participants, you’ll form your cockpit crew. Each person will take on the roles of pilot, co-pilot, and observer for 20 minutes at a time.

The Airbus A321XLR – Extra Long Range
“XLR” stands for Extra Long Range—and that is exactly what the Airbus A321XLR was designed for.
With a range of up to 8,700 kilometers (4,700 nautical miles) and flight times of up to eleven hours, the A321XLR combines the efficiency of a single-aisle aircraft with a range that enables entirely new long-haul routes.
The first commercial long-haul flight of an A321XLR took place in November 2024, from Madrid to Boston. This makes the A321XLR one of the newest aircraft types in international scheduled service.

XLR stands for Extra Long Range. The Airbus A321XLR was developed for exceptionally long distances and has a range of up to 8,700 kilometers or 4,700 nautical miles.
Who can participate?
Anyone 16 years of age or older—no prior experience is required. The experience is suitable for beginners as well as aviation enthusiasts and AvGeeks.
Do I need flight experience?
No. A detailed briefing will prepare you for your time in the simulator. You’ll be accompanied by a knowledgeable instructor throughout the entire experience.
How many people participate?
The experience takes place in a group of three participants. Each person takes on the roles of **pilot**, co-pilot, and observer one after the other.
How long will I fly myself?
The total simulator time is 60 minutes. Each person takes on each of the three roles for about 20 minutes.
How realistic is the simulator?
It is a certified full-flight simulator, just like those used in professional training. The cockpit, instruments, sounds, and movements provide a realistic flight experience.

Can I choose any date?
Participation is only possible on the specific date you booked and for the specific simulator you booked.
How long is my booking valid?
Your booking is valid only for the booked event date.
Can I transfer my booking?
If you are unable to attend, the booking can be transferred to another person upon prior agreement. Please notify us in advance so that the necessary participant information can be updated.
How do I participate in the experience?
Please bring your booking number from the purchase confirmation. No separate activation is required.

Where does the experience take place?
The A321XLR Full Flight Simulator experience takes place at the training center in Dreieich near Frankfurt am Main. (Directions PDF)
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your booked appointment.
What do I need to bring?
For security registration, you’ll need a valid ID card or passport.
Can I take photos or videos?
For safety reasons, taking your own photos or videos inside the simulator is not permitted. A souvenir photo can be taken on-site with the instructor’s assistance.

Are there any health restrictions?
The simulators are not wheelchair accessible. If you have physical limitations, please contact us in advance so we can assess on a case-by-case basis whether participation is possible.
